Cashier & Sales Associate (Part-Time)

About the role

We are looking for a friendly, dependable Cashier/Sales Associate to join our upscale thrift store. The role involves providing excellent customer service, handling point‑of‑sale transactions, and supporting the organization’s mission to give back to the community.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers with enthusiasm and professionalism.
• Accurately operate the cash register and process all point‑of‑sale transactions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floor.
• Straighten and restock merchandise throughout the day.
• Assist with pricing, tagging, and displaying items as needed.
• Provide information about the organization’s mission and how purchases support the cause.
• Help with opening and/or closing duties as assigned.
• Maintain a positive and respectful attitude with customers, donors, and team members.

Required profile

• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
• Dependable, punctual, and team‑oriented.
• Comfortable standing for extended periods and performing light physical tasks.
• Passion for community service and alignment with the organization’s mission.
