About the role
Crofton, a leader in commercial diving, marine construction and crane rental, is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join its dynamic team in Portsmouth. The ideal candidate will work safely and collaboratively, fabricating and erecting structures on marine projects while interpreting blueprints and OSHA regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Fabricate and erect bulkheads.
- Fabricate and erect framing.
- Fabricate and erect formwork.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required profile
- High School Diploma or 1‑2 years of relevant employment; 2+ years’ work experience; marine construction experience preferred.
- Physical ability to lift up to 40 lb, work at heights, handle marine site hazards, and operate in extreme weather conditions.
Required skills
- Blueprint reading.
- Interpretation of OSHA construction and maritime regulations.
- Basic mechanical skills.
- Marine construction knowledge (a plus).
