About the role

Archer Western Construction is seeking an experienced Carpenter to join the team on the 225018 – Sarasota WTP Quality Improvements, Phase 2A project in Sarasota, FL. The role involves constructing, erecting, and installing wood‑based structures for commercial, industrial, and heavy civil projects.

Key responsibilities

• Measure distances and mark guidelines on work surfaces to prepare for material placement.
• Prepare, build, and install wooden structures such as bridges, drainage systems, walls, and related components using prefabricated units.
• Assist with the installation of awnings and metal decking for concrete slabs when required.
• Utilize a carpenter’s belt equipped with hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery to complete tasks safely and efficiently.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of verifiable carpentry experience (preferred).
• Ability to climb and maintain balance on scaffolds or ladders.
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 lb and work in adverse weather conditions.
• Commitment to safety policies, clear communication with coworkers and supervisors, and a strong work ethic.
• Good manual dexterity; ability to stand, bend, kneel, or sit for extended periods.
• Pass a pre‑employment drug screening.
