About the role
The Buffalo Public School District is seeking a qualified educator to join its Career & Technical Education (CTE) program as a Business Teacher for the 2026‑2027 school year. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality business and entrepreneurship instruction to high‑school students, preparing them for real‑world enterprise challenges.
Key responsibilities
- Teach core business concepts and entrepreneurial skills to high‑school students.
- Develop and deliver lesson plans aligned with the Business Program competency framework.
- Guide students in creating and operating school‑based enterprises.
- Prepare and mentor students for regional and international pitch competitions.
- Collaborate with colleagues and fulfill additional duties as assigned.
Required profile
- Valid Buffalo or New York State teaching certificate in Business.
- Demonstrated ability to design effective, competency‑based lesson plans.
- Experience or strong interest in entrepreneurship and business plan development.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 suite.
