Career Services Coordinator – Student & Employer Liaison

About the role

The Georgia Northwestern Technical College seeks a motivated Career Services Coordinator to support students across multiple campuses. Reporting to the Director of Enrollment Services, you will act as the primary link between students, faculty, and employers, helping students explore career options and secure employment.

Key responsibilities

• Guide students in identifying career interests, creating resumes, cover letters, and preparing for interviews.
• Maintain and update the college’s Career Services webpage and Handshake account with job postings, resources, and event information.
• Organize and conduct job fairs, workshops, and classroom presentations on career‑related topics.
• Monitor local business trends, salary data, and employment opportunities relevant to college programs.
• Collaborate with faculty to share job openings and track student employment outcomes.
• Prepare administrative reports and assist with recruiting activities as needed.

Required profile

• Qualified applicants with experience in career counseling, student services, or a related field.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to engage students, employers, and community partners.
• Ability to travel between campuses and work on‑site full time.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Handshake career services platform.
• Webpage content management and basic HTML editing.
