Capital Markets Trading Analyst

About the role

The Capital Markets Trading Analyst supports the Markets Group of the New York Fed by maintaining and analysing critical financial‑market datasets. The role contributes to the implementation of monetary policy operations and the execution of fiscal‑agent activities for the U.S. Treasury.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, improve, and build datasets and tools that support monetary‑policy and fiscal‑agent operations.
• Develop an understanding of data sources such as TRACE trade data and integrate them into analytical dashboards.
• Support planning and execution of open‑market operations, Treasury auctions, repos and reverse repos.
• Analyse market developments and produce reports that inform policy decisions.
• Assist senior staff with ad‑hoc projects related to market and data analysis.

Required profile

• Demonstrated interest in financial markets and monetary policy.
• Ability to discuss the basic functions of the Federal Reserve.
• Willingness to work full‑time onsite with occasional flexible arrangements.
