Cable Harness Assembly Technician – Manufacturing

About the role

Seasats builds unmanned surface vessels that carry sensors at sea for months at a time. The Cable Harness Assembly Technician will install and manage electrical cabling on the Lightfish, Quickfish, and Heavyfish platforms, ensuring all connections are correctly installed, labeled, and traceable.

Key responsibilities

• Install pre‑built cable assemblies into connector plates according to wiring diagrams and technical drawings.
• Route, secure, and manage cable runs inside vessel hulls, providing strain relief, chafe protection, and clean routing for serviceability.
• Label cables and connectors per specifications and maintain accurate traceability records.
• Wire and terminate solar panel connections as part of the standard build.
• Perform quality control inspections on connector plate assemblies and cable installs.
• Document install records, test results, and discrepancies, and assist in resolving recurring issues.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience installing cables, connectors, or wire assemblies into finished products.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical drawings.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for labeling and routing.
• Comfort working independently and with a team in a fast‑moving production environment.
