Cabin Vendor Manager – Contract

About the role

The Cabin Vendor Manager (CVM) provides engineering and certification solutions for cabin modules, seats and IFE systems. The role is based at Airbus’ Engineering Center in Mobile, Alabama, supporting aircraft modification projects worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Responsible for engineering development per the aircraft modification project plan.
• Generate technical solutions for cabin or cargo compartment upgrades, including monument/equipment installation and system definition.
• Create and review installation, adaptation or removal drawings and ensure their accuracy.
• Develop customized monument specifications and related documentation for service bulletins.
• Manage vendor liaison activities, risk and opportunity management, and support certification processes.
• Provide on‑site support during aircraft retrofits and resolve technical queries.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aeronautic, Civil or Electrical Engineering (or Master’s with equivalent experience).
• Minimum 3–4 years of engineering experience in aircraft cabin projects or related fields.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Proven ability to interpret technical aircraft documentation, service bulletins, BOMs and modification requirements.
• Strong communication, coordination and organizational skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with industry‑standard CAD tools, especially CATIA.
• Experience with Service Bulletin production processes and interpretation.
• Familiarity with ATA Technical Manuals (IPC, AMM, SRM) and regulatory frameworks (FAA/EASA).
• Competence in Google Workspace/Google Suite for documentation and project tracking.
• Basic programming knowledge (Python) is a plus.
