Cabin Engineer I - Contract

About the role

The Cabin Design Engineer I (Contract) supports the development, customization, and evolution of aircraft cabin and cargo interiors for airline customers. Working under general direction, the engineer performs design, analysis, and data integration from concept to final installation.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in design solution development, layout maturation, and spatial integration using 3D modeling software.
• Support part‑number and Bill of Materials management within PLM tools, tracking technical effectivity and configuration.
• Review supplier engineering compliance documents to aid airworthiness approval.
• Draft and coordinate routine engineering change packages and support problem‑solving activities.
• Collaborate with cabin interior suppliers, evaluating drawings, interface documents, and 3D DMU models.
• Troubleshoot installation issues on the shop floor or Final Assembly Line and support manufacturing engineering.
• Manage personal task commitments, track supplier progress, and prepare technical documentation and presentations.
• Participate in cross‑functional communication and continuous improvement using Google Gemini ecosystem tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Aero, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical) with 0‑3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong proficiency with Google Workspace and ability to write technical reports, specifications, and work statements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• CAD experience with Catia V5 and solid capability in MS Office/Google Products.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Preferred: Master’s degree, experience with Airbus cabin engineering, and additional language skills.
