Business Unit Operations – Santa Clara

About the role

The Business Unit Operations role supports cross‑functional execution of programs, tracks operating expenses, and drives continuous improvement within Applied Materials' product lines. You will work closely with engineering and other functions to remove bottlenecks and increase R&D velocity while contributing to business continuity planning.

Key responsibilities

• Member of a team that delivers cross‑functional execution of programs to meet and exceed product line and financial goals.
• Track OPEX (operating expense) spending to ensure alignment with project plans and spending targets.
• Contribute to business process creation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support division‑level business continuity planning and crisis management.
• Utilize AI tools to improve productivity and increase velocity.
• Work closely with engineering to execute daily tasks and enhance R&D velocity.
• Identify and remove bottlenecks in procuring materials.
