Business Travel Sales Manager

About the role

Hyatt Regency Schaumburg is looking for an energetic, results-driven Business Travel Sales Manager to join its sales team. The role generates transient room revenue by soliciting, developing and managing corporate and business travel accounts. It suits a relationship builder who enjoys prospecting, networking and building long-term partnerships that drive occupancy and revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect and develop new corporate and business travel accounts
• Manage existing accounts to maximize room night production and revenue
• Conduct outside sales calls, site tours, client meetings and networking events
• Negotiate corporate rate agreements and contracts
• Maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and travel buyers
• Monitor account production and identify growth opportunities
• Take part in industry events, trade shows and community networking
• Collaborate with revenue management and hotel operations teams
• Maintain accurate account information and sales activity in the CRM system
• Meet or exceed revenue and production goals

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years of hotel sales experience or related hospitality sales experience
• Proven ability to develop new business and maintain client relationships
• Preferred: Hyatt experience and business travel (BT) sales experience
• Preferred: experience in the Chicago market and knowledge of corporate negotiated rate programs

Required skills

• Strong communication, presentation and relationship-building skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and hotel sales systems
