About the role
Made Institute is seeking an experienced fashion professional to lead its Business of Fashion course. The instructor will guide emerging designers through the full lifecycle of launching and sustaining a fashion brand, delivering virtual lessons and a final in‑studio critique.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver weekly virtual classes covering brand strategy, sourcing, production, pricing, and financial planning.
- Provide hands‑on mentorship and feedback on student business plans and prototypes.
- Facilitate the final critique session in the Philadelphia studio.
- Maintain up‑to‑date industry resources, supplier contacts, and technology tools for students.
Required profile
- Proven experience running or managing a small‑to‑medium fashion brand.
- Deep knowledge of sourcing, wholesale/retail models, and production processes.
- Ability to teach business plan creation, financial planning, and legal structuring.
- Strong commitment to student success and mentorship.
Required skills
- Familiarity with fashion technology platforms such as e‑commerce tools, digital line sheets, and inventory systems.
