Business Litigation Associate – Denver

About the role

Womble Bond Dickinson is seeking a motivated mid‑level to senior associate to join its Business Litigation Practice Group on the Environmental Team in Denver. The role focuses on complex environmental regulatory and litigation matters for commercial clients.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and litigate sophisticated environmental regulatory and commercial disputes.
• Represent clients before state and federal administrative agencies and in federal and state courts.
• Prepare and argue motions, attend hearings, and handle other courtroom appearances.
• Conduct in‑depth legal research and draft pleadings, briefs, and memoranda.
• Navigate agency proceedings, regulatory enforcement actions, and compliance investigations.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of experience as a practicing attorney handling complex environmental and business litigation.
• Strong background in regulatory law and litigation, including experience with state and federal agencies.
• Courtroom experience such as motion hearings is strongly preferred.
• Federal clerkship experience is highly valued.
• Ability to interpret and apply intricate statutory, regulatory, and agency frameworks.
