Business Intelligence Analyst

About the role

Applied Materials, a global leader in materials engineering solutions, is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to support its semiconductor and display manufacturing operations in Santa Clara. The analyst will partner with process engineers and integration teams to translate experimental objectives into actionable data, metrics, and reporting solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with process engineers to understand wafer experiment workflows and define data and reporting requirements.
• Design, develop, and maintain metrics, dashboards, and analytical reports using ClickHouse, SQL, and Python.
• Write specifications for new data pipelines and collaborate with data engineering on AWS/Kafka/ClickHouse stack.
• Validate and reconcile data from MES, tool logs, recipe management, and yield databases.
• Develop reusable Python scripts and SQL queries for DOE evaluation, process window characterization, and virtual metrology.
• Train and support developers and analysts in using the data warehouse and self‑service BI tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably in a high‑tech or manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to work directly with engineers and technical stakeholders and to document data requirements.
