Building Trades Worker Trainer

About the role

FRAME Technical Services, LLC is looking for building and construction trades workers to act as trainers on an as-needed basis at the HAMMER Facility in Richland, WA. The work covers several safety and trade training programs, including Hazardous Waste/HAZWOPER, Respiratory Protection, Hoisting & Rigging/Forklift, Load Securement, Electrical Safety, Lockout Tagout (LOTO) and Beryllium. The schedule is typically 4 days a week, Monday through Thursday.

Key responsibilities

• Take part in all phases of course development
• Train fellow workers to work more safely by understanding course concepts and linking them to workplace procedures and processes
• Teach knowledge-based objectives in a traditional classroom setting and in hands-on activities

Required profile

• Building trades represented employee with a CWB&CTC affiliate, acting as a journeyperson in good standing (current union dues, eligible to accept a call from the union)
• High school diploma or GED
• At least two years of DOE Complex experience performing the work covered by the training program, consistent with the material presented
• Self-motivated, organized and detail-oriented, able to work both on a team and independently in a fast-paced environment
