Building Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Federal Reserve Bank of Boston is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician to join its RESG Building Services team. This onsite position supports the upkeep and operation of the Bank’s facilities, ensuring a safe and functional environment for staff and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of maintenance tasks including hardware, partitions, tile, masonry, furniture, glass, drywall, ceilings, window treatments, wood structures and finish millwork.
• Support the operation and routine maintenance of critical building systems.
• Interact regularly with employees at all levels and external tenant firms, representing the organization professionally.
• Move between departments, floors and buildings to complete assignments, often requiring lifting of 20‑50+ pounds.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk, reach, stoop, crouch, kneel, crawl, climb stairs and ladders, and work at heights.
• Capability to work in varied temperature environments, both indoors and outdoors.
• Pass FBI fingerprint/criminal background and OFAC watch‑list checks at least once every five years.
• Commitment to onsite work schedule.
