Border Patrol Agent – Experienced (GL‑9/GS‑11)

About the role

You will join the U.S. Border Patrol as an experienced law‑enforcement professional, protecting communities and securing the nation’s borders. The position is a full‑time career role with opportunities for rapid grade advancement and location‑based incentives.

Key responsibilities

• Secure the nation’s borders and protect the country.
• Enforce federal immigration and customs laws.
• Work in Southwest Border locations, including prioritized sites such as Sierra Blanca, TX.

Required profile

• Prior experience as a law‑enforcement officer (military police, state, or local agency).
• Willingness to relocate to duty assignments determined by operational needs.
• Ability to complete the Border Patrol Academy and a minimum of 52 weeks in the initial grade for promotion.

• Base salary ranging from $65,545 to $124,717 per year (GL‑9 to GS‑11).
