Boiler Attendant

About the role

As a Boiler Attendant you will operate, maintain, and oversee steam boilers, air compressors, well water and reverse‑osmosis systems, and all associated equipment. You will perform water and chemical treatments, keep accurate records, and troubleshoot equipment issues as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain mechanical components such as valves, pumps, steam traps, and piping within boiler, compressed‑air, and water‑treatment systems.
• Perform water testing on boiler feed‑water, condensate, boiler water and plant cooling water, and adjust chemical feeds accordingly.
• Prepare and handle boiler chemicals safely using proper personal protective equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of system operation, testing, evaluation, and maintenance.
• Diagnose and correct operational problems across all assigned systems.
• Assist and cooperate with outside contractors and vendors for troubleshooting and repairs.

Required profile

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years experience operating industrial boilers.
• Experience with water chemistry and testing preferred.
• Experience with air compressors and dryers preferred.
