Board Certified Gastroenterologist (Physician)

About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Gastroenterologist to join its integrated health system in Covington, Louisiana. The position focuses on general gastroenterology within a collaborative, multi‑specialty environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive general gastroenterology care, including outpatient clinics and consults.
• Collaborate with a wide group of gastroenterology specialists, hepatologists, and advanced endoscopists.
• Utilize the EPIC electronic medical record system for patient management.
• Work within an integrated practice model supported by strong internal referral networks and 24/7 hospitalist coverage.

Required profile

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology.
• Experience working in a multi‑disciplinary team with access to surgical, oncology, radiology, and pathology services.

Required skills

• Proficiency with EPIC EMR platform.
• Skilled in performing endoscopic procedures.
