Board Certified Gastroenterologist – Clinic Position in Baton Rouge

About the role

Ochsner Health Baton Rouge is seeking a Board Certified or Board‑eligible Gastroenterologist to join its growing Department of Gastroenterology. The position is clinic‑based with dedicated endoscopy days and offers a collaborative environment supported by advanced practice professionals and a state‑of‑the‑art endoscopy laboratory. You will provide outpatient care, perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, and participate in a shared call rotation.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct clinic consultations and follow‑up appointments for gastroenterology patients.
• Perform endoscopic procedures using advanced EUS, impedance, pH and manometry equipment.
• Participate in a weekly 1:5 call rotation covering both clinic and hospital consults.

Required profile

• Board Certified or Board‑eligible in Gastroenterology.
• Willingness to work in a clinic setting with dedicated endoscopy days and shared call responsibilities.

Required skills

• Endoscopy and therapeutic endoscopic techniques.
• Experience with Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS), impedance, pH monitoring, and manometry.
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical record system.
