About the role
Ochsner Health in the New Orleans region is seeking board‑certified or board‑eligible anesthesiologists to join its MD Primary model of care. Physicians will work in a tertiary‑care referral center, caring for complex surgical patients while enjoying a supportive academic environment. The Department of Anesthesiology comprises 70 anesthesiologists, 100 CRNAs, and over 45 house staff, handling more than 52,000 cases annually.
Key responsibilities
- Perform up to 75 % of anesthesia cases independently.
- Collaborate with residents and certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs) for the remaining cases.
Required profile
- Board‑certified or board‑eligible in anesthesiology.
- Willingness to care for complex patients undergoing challenging surgical procedures.
- Open to new graduates as well as experienced physicians.
