Bartender - The Mann Center

About the role

The Bartender/Beertender at The Mann Center provides positive guest interactions while accurately mixing and serving beverages to guests and servers in a friendly and efficient manner. All bartenders complete transactions in accordance with Pennsylvania's RAMP standards. The role involves creating standard mixed drinks, specialty cocktails, canned beer and wine, and supporting the bar set-up and break-down before and after events.

Key responsibilities

• Create standard mixed drinks, specialty cocktails, canned beer and wine, using the correct recipes and vessels according to build sheets
• Know the varietals of beer and wine offered
• Assist the Stand Lead with bar set-up and break-down before and after events
• Display products properly and promote upsells with each transaction
• Verify proper ID for alcohol transactions and serve responsibly under RAMP standards
• Keep the bar area stocked and report inventory or equipment needs to the Stand Lead
• Maintain a clean, neat and safe work area and complete other stand duties assigned by the Stand Lead
• Rotate to other service locations when needed, including service bartending positions
• Complete other duties assigned by management

Required profile

• At least 18 years old, high school diploma or equivalent
• Able to read, speak and write English
• Flexible schedule covering extended hours, days, nights, weekends and holidays, and ability to work in an open-air environment
• Punctual, dependable, and able to work under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced, team setting
• Sufficient mobility and ability to lift 10-30 pounds, occasionally 50 pounds
• Meets state and local requirements for alcoholic beverage services
• RAMP certification required; Legends can provide it upon hiring if necessary

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations and etiquette preferred
• Ability to listen to and follow management directions
