Bartender - Concord Pavilion

About the role

Concord Pavilion, a 12,500-capacity amphitheater in Concord, CA, hosts a 2024 season of major musical acts. Legends Hospitality, the venue's food and beverage concessionaire, is looking for bartenders for a seasonal (spring and summer) part-time position, mainly during weeknights and weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Mix and serve drinks, cocktails and other bar beverages to guests and servers, following company standards
• Greet guests, take orders from servers or directly from guests, and collect payment and balance receipts
• Serve wine with proper service techniques, suggest pairings and check guest ID for alcohol purchases
• Work with the culinary team on mixers and garnishes, and keep track of inventory on stand sheets
• Handle an assigned cash drawer and follow cash-handling procedures
• Keep the bar area stocked, clean and organized, and handle catering storage areas
• Serve food items to guests seated at the bar and promote menu items and promotions
• Clean the work area, sweep, vacuum, dust and clean glass doors and windows, and attend mandatory meetings

Required profile

• Responsible Beverage Server (RBS) certificate and food handler's certificate
• Ability to work long hours and flexible shifts, including mornings, nights, weekends and holidays
• At least two years of bartender experience preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs continuously and to read, speak and write English
• Working email to communicate with managers

Required skills

• Extensive knowledge of drink recipes and extensive knowledge of wines
• Excellent knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations and etiquette
• Ability to work independently or in a team and to take direction from a supervisor

Starting pay is $16.50 per hour. Candidates must follow safety policies and complete safety training.
