Barback - The Mann Center

About the role

The Barback provides supplies and items to the bartender on request so that guest service remains exceptional in the concessions environment at The Mann Center. The role involves stocking bars, keeping areas clean and organized, and supporting the concession team throughout the venue's events.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver stock to all concessions stands, portables and commissaries, and restock stands efficiently according to transfer dockets provided by management.
• Stock bar items and fill ice bins as needed, anticipating bar needs throughout the shift.
• Help keep all areas clean and organized, and assist in receiving and storing food and beverage deliveries.
• Inspect stands for deficiencies and report any concerns to management.
• Assist with moving equipment as required for events throughout the venue.
• Show flexibility by rotating to other service locations when necessary.

Required profile

• At least 18 years of age, high school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to read, speak and write English.
• Flexible schedule covering all venue events, including extended hours, days, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Punctual, dependable, and able to work in an open-air environment in all weather conditions.
• Sufficient mobility for constant standing, reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing and pulling, and able to lift and move items weighing 10-30 pounds, occasionally 50 pounds.
• Well-groomed appearance in line with company and venue standards.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations and etiquette preferred.
• Ability to listen to and follow management directions, work under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.
• RAMP certification required; Legends can provide it upon hiring if necessary.
• Follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations, and complete company-wide and job-specific safety training.
