Back-end Software Engineer – GPU Platform

About the role

TensorWave is seeking a Back-end Software Engineer to join its platform team. You will own the end‑to‑end automation of provisioning, configuring, and operating large‑scale GPU clusters across bare‑metal, Kubernetes, and Slurm environments, enabling rapid AI innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain fully automated pipelines that provision bare‑metal GPU clusters from zero to production.
• Automate the lifecycle of Slurm and Kubernetes clusters, including bootstrapping, upgrades, node provisioning, and decommissioning at scale.
• Develop infrastructure for GPU node configuration, drivers, and firmware.
• Own cluster validation pipelines, health checks, and GPU burn‑in tests.
• Implement day‑2 operations automation such as node remediation, rolling upgrades, and automated drain/cordon workflows.
• Create and maintain runbooks and documentation for reliable operations.
• Manage the observability stack for automation services, provisioning pipelines, and cluster health systems.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure or platform engineering.
• 3+ years of production‑grade Go development.
• Deep understanding of Kubernetes internals, including informers, work queues, controller‑runtime, client‑go, CRDs, custom controllers, operators, and admission webhooks.
• Proven experience building Kubernetes Operators and gRPC/REST APIs in Go.
• Familiarity with bare‑metal concepts such as PXE, IPMI, and BMC.
• Strong testing discipline across unit, integration, and end‑to‑end tests.
• Ownership of observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Loki or similar).
