AVP, Cash Management Sales Associate, Financial Institutions Group

About the role

Barclays is hiring an AVP, Cash Management Sales Associate within its Financial Institutions Group in New York. You will cover several fixed income portfolios and work alongside Senior VPs and Directors on the full sales cycle with large US multinational clients, including Fortune 500 companies. The team covers the whole US and values strong client relationships; occasional travel is required.

Key responsibilities

• Identify potential customers, analyse their needs and stay ahead of market trends and competitor strategies
• Create detailed profiles of target segments to tailor product recommendations
• Manage relationships with potential and existing customers, resolving issues and building trust
• Understand the features, benefits, risks and compliance requirements of banking products and share them with customers
• Develop sales pitches and proposals and negotiate terms favourable to both client and bank
• Collect and analyse customer feedback to inform product development and sales strategy
• Monitor lead conversion rates and customer acquisition costs to assess sales performance

Required profile

• Experience working in a sales environment
• Experience handling client coverage with a high level of service
• Prior experience with corporate banking cash management products, specifically origination
• Ability to advise on decisions, contribute to policy development and lead collaborative assignments

Required skills

• Fixed income or transaction banking experience preferred
• Understanding of pricing theory for the cash management product set
• Comfort working in an international banking environment

The role is permanent, based in New York, with a stated salary range of $105,000 to $160,000 (base salary only).
