Automotive Technical Trainer – PA/NJ

About the role

Valvoline Global Operations is seeking an Automotive Technical Trainer to support its key and strategic accounts in the Philadelphia, PA and Newark, NJ regions. The role combines in‑store classroom and virtual training with extensive travel to deliver product knowledge and drive sales growth.

Key responsibilities

• Provide in‑store and virtual training to retailers, including classroom sessions and on‑site support.
• Plan, prepare, schedule, and deliver training programs that maximize Valvoline product growth.
• Launch new programs and onboard new rooftop partners.
• Train new team members and share best practices.
• Deliver store‑level insights and analytics (scorecards, business analytics) to increase organic sales.
• Develop personal competencies for future roles such as Account Executive, Sales, or Team Leader.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of training experience, preferably in the automotive or heavy‑duty market.
• High School Diploma required; BA degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• Strong track record in training and/or sales.
• Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time, including frequent overnights.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office Suite – Teams, PowerPoint, Excel.
• Working knowledge of Salesforce.com.
• Familiarity with Valvoline DASH (internal platform).
