Automotive Service Manager

About the role

The Automotive Service Manager leads the service department of Mills Auto Group’s dealerships across central and western North Carolina. This full‑time position oversees customer service, parts, inventory, and personnel to drive profitability and ensure high‑quality vehicle maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the service department, including customer service, parts, inventory, and staff.
• Collaborate with other dealership departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Develop and implement strategies to increase service profitability and efficiency.
• Monitor performance data and identify improvement opportunities.
• Hire, train, and supervise service advisors, technicians, and support staff.
• Maintain high customer satisfaction by upholding quality service standards.
• Resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally.
• Maintain accurate records of all service activities.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; degree in Automotive Technology preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in automotive service management.
• Proven track record of improving service department profitability.
• Strong leadership and team‑motivation abilities.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Required skills

• Knowledge of automotive systems and repairs.
• Proficiency with automotive service software and computer systems.
