Automotive Service Advisor

About the role

Ford of Harvey is seeking a professional Automotive Service Advisor to join its busy service department. You will act as the primary point of contact for customers, guiding them through vehicle maintenance and warranty processes while ensuring a high‑quality service experience.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct walk‑around inspections of customer vehicles and accurately record service needs on repair orders.
• Interact with customers to determine immediate service requirements and serve as a liaison between technicians and clients.
• Review service history and multi‑point inspection results to recommend appropriate maintenance.
• Write, verify, and submit repair orders, including supporting documentation for manufacturer warranty claims.
• Administer new and used vehicle warranty repairs in line with manufacturer guidelines.
• Inspect completed work before vehicle return and perform active vehicle delivery with the customer.
• Continuously build product knowledge through on‑the‑job training and manufacturer certifications.

Required profile

• Excellent communication skills and a strong team‑player attitude.
• Ability to manage and redirect customer frustrations effectively.
• Trainable, outgoing, and friendly with a professional appearance.
• Strong organizational abilities.
• Technical certification and manufacturer training certifications are a plus.
