About the role
The Authorized Nuclear In-Service Inspector is a floater position supporting multiple client locations. It can be full‑time or part‑time and requires regular travel. The role involves performing ASME/NB inspections and ensuring compliance with nuclear industry codes.
Key responsibilities
- Perform ASME/NB shop and field inspection services for assigned clients, reviewing and verifying manufacturers' quality assurance programs and design specifications.
- Monitor client quality‑assurance programs for compliance with relevant codes and requirements.
- Document all inspection activities according to established policies.
- Ensure client compliance with applicable sections of the ASME BPV Code, National Board Inspection Code, and jurisdictional requirements for repair and replacement activities.
- Maintain and continuously enhance knowledge of the ASME BPV Code, NBIC, and related jurisdictional requirements through self‑study, internal training, and approved continuing education.
Required profile
- National Board Authorized Inspector Commission with “N” and “R” endorsements (an “I” endorsement is preferred).
- At least one year of experience as a qualified Authorized Nuclear Inspector performing ASME BPV Code inspections.
- Working knowledge of Section XI of the ASME BPV Code, applicable Code Cases, and related reference standards.
- Minimum one year of experience with quality‑assurance requirements and shop/field repair procedures.
- Strong communication skills – ability to read, write and speak clearly and interact positively with clients.
- Proficiency with standard software suites, email, and ability to learn company‑specific reporting systems.
