Auditor II – Internal Audit

About the role

UCLA’s Audit & Advisory Services department is seeking an Auditor II to join its Internal Audit team. The role focuses on conducting operational, financial, compliance, and information systems audits that protect university resources and drive efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute audits across diverse campus functions, including finance, operations, compliance, and IT.
• Identify internal control weaknesses and recommend corrective actions.
• Analyze audit findings to uncover opportunities for risk reduction and process improvement.
• Collaborate with department stakeholders to communicate results and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Utilize audit management software (Optro), AI tools (CoPilot), and data‑analytics techniques to enhance audit quality and efficiency.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of audit or related experience.
• Ability to recognize and evaluate internal control weaknesses.
• Working knowledge of finance, accounting, business processes, and information technology.
• Experience performing financial and operational audit segments under senior supervision.

Required skills

• Proficiency with audit management software (Optro).
• Experience using AI tools such as CoPilot for audit tasks.
• Strong data‑analytics capabilities.
