Audit & Evaluation Advisory Committee Member (Pro Bono)

About the role

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is seeking experienced professionals to join its Audit and Evaluation Advisory Committee on a pro‑bono basis. Members provide independent oversight and strategic advice to the UNDP Administrator on financial, audit, risk and evaluation matters.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the UNDP Administrator in oversight of financial management, reporting and internal controls.
• Provide guidance on internal audit, investigations and external audit processes.
• Contribute to risk management, evaluation, ethics and governance functions.
• Participate in three in‑person meetings per year at UNDP headquarters in New York and attend virtual sessions as needed.

Required profile

• Advanced professional qualifications and senior‑level experience in finance, accounting, internal or external audit, investigation, evaluation, ethics, risk management, IT, internal controls or governance.
• Strong understanding of the United Nations system or other intergovernmental organisations is desirable.
• Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality and sign a confidentiality statement upon appointment.
