Attorney – Public Finance

About the role

We are a respected law firm specializing in public finance, municipal law, and related transactional practice areas. We are looking for an Attorney to join our team and support public‑sector clients on complex financing transactions from inception through closing.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and review financing documents such as bond resolutions, indentures, official statements, and closing paperwork.
• Advise governmental entities on compliance with federal and state securities and tax regulations.
• Manage transactions through structuring, coordination with issuers, financial advisors, underwriters, and other participants, and final closing.
• Conduct legal research and provide guidance on municipal law and public finance matters.
• Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Mentor junior attorneys and collaborate with support staff.

Required profile

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active bar membership in good standing (Missouri).
• Experience in public finance, municipal law, or a related transactional practice.
• Strong knowledge of federal tax and securities law as applied to municipal bonds (preferred).
• Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines simultaneously.
