Associate Structural Engineer

About the role

Parsons is seeking an Associate Structural Engineer to join its Critical Infrastructure team in Florida. The role offers the chance to work on bridge design and transportation projects while developing core structural engineering skills.

Key responsibilities

• Perform engineering and design assignments using basic structural principles.
• Prepare engineering calculations, material quantity takeoffs, and cost estimates.
• Assist with field surveys, design layouts, and detailed material requisitions.
• Review supplier drawing submittals for technical compliance and support bid evaluations.
• Provide technical input and coordination guidance to CAD designers and drafters.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural or related engineering.
• 0+ years of related experience (internships or co‑ops a plus).
• Basic knowledge of civil/structural engineering concepts.
• Familiarity with CAD tools and common PC software packages.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
