Associate Roadway Engineer – Troy, MI

About the role

Parsons is hiring an Associate Roadway Engineer for its growing Troy, Michigan office. You will support major regional infrastructure projects alongside a world‑class engineering team.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with geometric design of highways and roads, including horizontal and vertical alignment, cross‑sections, super‑elevations, gore details, vertical clearance calculations and grading plans.
• Perform material quantity takeoffs, cost estimates and field surveys as needed.
• Use design software to implement project designs and generate construction documents.
• Provide technical guidance to CAD designers, drafters, and other engineers on the project.
• Carry out additional duties related to the position as appropriate.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Relevant work experience or internships; Engineer In Training (EIT) certification is preferred.
• Basic process engineering knowledge and proficiency with CAD and typical engineering PC software.
• Strong written and oral communication skills for interaction with engineers and clients.
• No security clearance required.
