Associate Project Manager – OPM Construction & Project Controls

About the role

The Associate Project Manager supports project execution across design, permitting, construction, occupancy, and close‑out phases, focusing on project controls, schedule management, cost tracking, risk mitigation, and performance reporting. Working under senior project leaders, the role contributes to operational efficiency and client experience while developing technical and strategic skills.

Key responsibilities

• Support daily activities across all project phases, tracking milestones, critical path activities, schedule updates, and dependencies.
• Prepare and maintain project controls documentation such as schedules, status reports, action trackers, and dashboards.
• Collect, analyze, and compile project data for progress reporting, schedule forecasting, and cost tracking.
• Assist with financial controls including invoice tracking, change order management, budget monitoring, and cost log maintenance.
• Shadow project leads in stakeholder interactions and begin taking ownership of specific communications under supervision.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in construction project coordination, facilities, or related project work.
• Experience supporting Owner’s Project Management (OPM) or large‑scale commercial construction projects in sectors such as higher education, healthcare, or laboratories.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using project scheduling software (e.g., MS Project) for schedule creation and updates.
