Associate Programme Management Officer, Administration

About the role

The Human Security Unit (HSU) is seeking an Associate Programme Management Officer to support administration, finance and programme analysis for the United Nations Trust Fund for Human Security. Reporting to the Finance and Budget Officer, the incumbent will coordinate day‑to‑day operations and ensure smooth financial management of HSU activities.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the focal point for administrative coordination, including travel programmes, vendor payments, office space planning and technology maintenance.
• Draft correspondence on financial, budget and programme matters for internal and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate budget submissions, progress reports, financial statements, agreements and no‑cost extensions for UNTFHS programmes.
• Monitor expenditures against approved budgets, prepare adjustments and support cost‑plan implementation.
• Prepare Umoja master data, process transactions and generate reports using Umoja ECC, Business Intelligence and Power BI dashboards.
• Participate in programme development, implementation and evaluation, tracking issues and proposing corrective actions.
• Conduct basic research and data collection to support programme analysis and reporting.

Required profile

• Experience in administrative coordination and financial monitoring within an international or UN‑type environment.
• Familiarity with budget preparation, financial reporting and vendor management.
• Ability to work with UN financial systems such as Umoja and to produce analytical dashboards.

• Umoja ECC and Umoja Master Data handling
• Microsoft Power BI for dashboard creation
• Advanced Excel for data analysis and reporting
