Associate Professor of Nursing Practice

About the role

The College of Nursing and Health Sciences at Texas A&M University‑Corpus Christi seeks a tenure‑track Associate Professor of Nursing Practice to join its faculty beginning Fall 2027. The position is a nine‑month appointment with potential summer duties and requires on‑campus presence to advance the college’s academic mission.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate nursing courses, including clinical and simulation instruction.
• Develop and supervise DNP student projects and provide mentorship, advising, and recruitment support.
• Maintain an active research program, secure external funding, and disseminate findings through peer‑reviewed publications and presentations.
• Participate in college, university, and professional service activities, including committee work.
• Ensure curriculum alignment with program policies, outcomes, and best practices in safety and clinical mastery.

Required profile

• Research‑focused PhD in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Current, unencumbered RN and/or APRN license in Texas at time of appointment.
• Established record of funded research and scholarly publications.
• Minimum five years of experience at the Assistant Professor level or equivalent.
• Experience in higher‑education teaching, both classroom and clinical settings.
