Associate – Multifamily Investments

About the role

Leon Capital Group is seeking an Associate to drive the analytical engine behind its active multifamily investment platform. You will underwrite acquisition and development opportunities, craft investment memoranda, and engage directly with lenders and capital partners while working closely with senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Underwrite multifamily acquisition and development opportunities using detailed financial models, including budgets, operating pro formas, and returns analysis.
• Conduct market research, rent and sales comparable analysis, and sensitivity analysis to support investment decisions.
• Build, maintain, and enhance underwriting models and analytical templates used across the platform.
• Author investment memoranda and prepare presentation decks for executive review, lenders, investors, and capital partners.
• Support capital formation efforts by preparing financing packages and responding to lender and investor diligence requests.
• Participate in meetings and calls with brokers, lenders, equity partners, and other external stakeholders.
• Assist with due diligence, closing processes, and post‑closing asset performance tracking.
• Collaborate with the real‑estate credit team on underwriting and origination analysis as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, real estate, economics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Three to five years of experience in real‑estate investment banking, private‑equity, or institutional multifamily acquisitions/development.
• Advanced financial modeling proficiency in Microsoft Excel, capable of building underwriting models from scratch.
• Demonstrated experience authoring investment or credit memoranda for institutional review.
• Hands‑on experience with AI‑powered tools, specifically Claude, to automate research, analysis, and reporting workflows.
• Working knowledge of real‑estate capital markets, including debt and equity structures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the confidence to engage lenders and investors directly.
