Associate Medical Director, Rheumatology – US Medical Affairs

About the role

The Associate Medical Director, Rheumatology will join the US Immunology Medical Affairs team in Horsham, PA, leading the development and execution of medical‑affairs programs for rheumatology products. This senior position collaborates with cross‑functional partners to shape scientific strategy, address medical questions, and support market access.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the creation and execution of integrated evidence generation plans for approved and pipeline rheumatology products.
• Develop and oversee Phase IIIb/IV trials, registries, real‑world evidence studies, and investigator‑initiated studies.
• Support payer‑related materials, medical education content, and scientific communication including abstracts and manuscripts.
• Partner with KOLs, medical societies, and patient advocacy groups to foster collaborations.

Required profile

• Advanced degree (PharmD, PhD, MD/DO; NP/PA considered).
• Rheumatology or Immunology therapeutic expertise.
• Minimum 1.5 years pharmaceutical industry experience or 5 years post‑graduate clinical practice.
• Strong scientific writing, analytical thinking, and public speaking skills.
