Associate Financial Planner Intern (Spring 2028)

About the role

The Associate Financial Planner Intern will support Financial Planners and partners in managing client relationships and implementing financial plans. The role involves preparing client files, assisting with planning opportunities, and handling client communications during an 8‑week full‑time internship.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and update consult files for each client’s annual meeting.
• Assist the Financial Planner with planning opportunities and implementation items.
• Respond promptly to client questions via email and phone.
• Review annual income tax returns and complete year‑end tax projections.
• Conduct financial analysis and tax planning for each business unit owned by the client.
• Participate with the Financial Planner during annual client meetings.
• Reconcile each client’s current investment asset allocation and analyze retirement plan optimization.

Required profile

• Working towards a bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Tax, or a related field.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on MS Excel.
