Assistant/Associate Tenure-Track Professor – Mathematics

About the role

Tarleton State University seeks an Assistant or Associate Tenure‑Track Professor to join its Department of Mathematics. This 9‑month faculty position will contribute to teaching, research, and service within a vibrant, inclusive campus community in Stephenville, Texas.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate mathematics courses, both on‑campus and through approved online modalities.
• Develop and revise curricula to reflect current mathematical research and pedagogical best practices.
• Maintain an active research agenda, seek external funding, and publish scholarly work.
• Provide academic advising and mentorship to students.
• Participate in departmental, college, and university service, including serving as a Campus Security Authority.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Mathematics or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching and a commitment to inclusive education.
• Evidence of scholarly research and a plan for continued productivity.
• Ability to collaborate across disciplines and contribute to departmental governance.
