Assistant/Associate Professor – Clinical Track Occupational Therapy

About the role

Tarleton State University seeks an Assistant or Associate Professor on the Clinical‑Track of Occupational Therapy to join its Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) program. The position is a 10.5‑month faculty appointment based at the main Stephenville campus, with opportunities to teach across multiple campuses and online.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in occupational therapy, both on‑site and virtually.
• Develop and revise curriculum to reflect current clinical practice and research.
• Engage in scholarly research and contribute to the university’s research agenda.
• Provide service to rural communities and support emerging practice settings.
• Participate in departmental and university service activities.

Required profile

• Terminal degree (PhD, DPT, or equivalent) in Occupational Therapy.
• Demonstrated teaching experience at the college level.
• Strong clinical background with a commitment to serving rural populations.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple campus locations.
