About the role
The University of Arkansas at Little Rock is seeking an Assistant Wrestling Coach to support the head coach in delivering a competitive men’s wrestling program. This full‑time position involves hands‑on coaching, athlete recruitment, and program administration within a Division I environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the head coach in planning, developing, and administering all phases of the men’s wrestling program.
- Coach multiple weight classes and demonstrate wrestling techniques during practice.
- Recruit high‑caliber athletes nationally and manage the recruiting process.
- Assist with team travel logistics and budget preparation.
- Ensure compliance with NCAA, conference, and institutional rules.
- Monitor student‑athletes’ academic progress toward degree completion.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree (required).
- Minimum of 2 years full‑time coaching experience.
- Preferred: Master’s degree and experience with an NCAA Division I wrestling program.
