Assistant Staff Psychologist

Ochsner Health is seeking an Assistant Staff Psychologist to join its multidisciplinary team. Key responsibilities

• Examine patients to diagnose clinical conditions and prescribe appropriate treatments, medications, and follow‑up care.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Document patient encounters accurately in the Electronic Health Record and ensure proper coding of visits.
• Request additional medical evaluations, make referrals, and coordinate care as needed.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, accreditation standards, and federal, state, and local regulations.

Required profile

• Board certified or eligible for certification in the physician’s primary specialty.
• Licensed Practicing Provider (MD or DO) with credentialing and a willingness to maintain clinical practice.
• Commitment to professional standards, teamwork, and high‑quality patient care.
