Assistant Retail Manager (Salon Director) - Lebanon, TN

About the role

Sun Tan City, a family-owned tanning salon chain with about 250 salons across 20 states, is looking for an Assistant Salon Director in Lebanon, Tennessee. The role keeps the salon running smoothly, drives store performance and client service, and manages and coaches Tanning Consultants to meet company goals. The position works five days a week, about 40 to 45 hours, and requires night, Saturday and Sunday coverage.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and manage daily salon operations in a fast-paced environment
• Create a client-centric experience and meet personal sales expectations
• Maintain a professional and clean salon environment
• Set clear goals for team members and coach, train and give feedback
• Generate sales reports, maintain inventory and help control revenue and expenses
• Help keep staffing levels right to balance productivity, customer service and labor costs
• Work nights, Saturdays and Sundays as needed, and travel to the bank when required

Required profile

• Management and/or sales experience preferred, but not required
• College education preferred, but not required
• Ability to work independently during shifts and to handle multiple situations at once
• Physical ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend to clean equipment, lift items and boxes, and perform cleaning tasks like dusting, sweeping and mopping
