Assistant Professor – Public Administration (Tenure‑Track)

About the role

Texas A&M International University seeks a tenure‑track Assistant Professor of Public Administration to join its Department of Social Sciences. The position begins in Fall 2027 and involves teaching, research, and service within a vibrant, bicultural community.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Public Administration and Political Science, including research methods.
• Conduct scholarly research and publish in peer‑reviewed journals.
• Participate in governance of the NASPAA‑accredited Master of Public Administration program.
• Serve on departmental, college, university, and professional committees.
• Mentor and advise students at all levels.

Required profile

• PhD in Public Administration or a closely related field (ABD candidates considered if degree earned by Aug 16 2027).
• Strong research record or potential for publication in top scholarly journals.
• Experience or potential for securing external grant funding.
• Interest in program evaluation, public policy, and research methods.
