Assistant Construction Superintendent – Traveling Role

About the role

Creature is seeking an Assistant Construction Superintendent who will travel to project sites and support field leadership in delivering ground‑up construction projects. The role is hands‑on, ensuring daily operations are safe, productive, and aligned with schedule and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent with scheduling, crew coordination, and supervision of self‑perform trades and subcontractors.
• Conduct daily site walks to verify work quality, safety compliance, and progress against plans.
• Manage daily documentation, including photos, reports, and production tracking tools.
• Support project setup activities such as schedule creation, procurement logs, and subcontractor onboarding.
• Lead daily huddles, weekly coordination meetings, and look‑ahead planning sessions.
• Identify and escalate field risks, scope conflicts, or schedule impacts.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of field experience as an Assistant Superintendent, Foreman, or Project Engineer, or a degree in Building Sciences or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in ground‑up construction and strong understanding of plans, specifications, and field coordination.
• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours; ability to pass background check and drug screen.
• Preferred: experience with self‑perform trades (carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC) and familiarity with lean planning, TAKT scheduling, or production tracking.

Required skills

• Proficiency with construction software such as Procore, Bluebeam, and BIM 360.
• Hands‑on knowledge of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC trades.
• Experience with lean planning, TAKT scheduling, and production tracking tools.
• Understanding of building codes and inspection requirements.
