Assistant Community Manager – The Riley

About the role

The Assistant Community Manager supports the Community Manager in overseeing the financial and operational aspects of The Riley, a stabilized garden‑style apartment community in Raleigh, NC. This position handles daily accounting tasks, resident interactions, and on‑site supervision to ensure smooth community operations.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and post rent, fees, and other payments; prepare daily bank deposits and reconcile accounts.
• Operate Yardi/OneSite property management software, entering transactions accurately and maintaining system integrity.
• Review resident files for delinquent balances, communicate with residents, and enforce lease terms to maximize revenue.
• Process vendor invoices, code charges, and coordinate approvals with the Community Manager.
• Assist with evictions, move‑out processing, and resident satisfaction initiatives.
• Act as on‑site supervisor in the Community Manager’s absence, coordinating maintenance and daily work assignments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Communications, or related field preferred.
• 1‑3 years of experience in property or residence management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented, self‑motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with property management software (Yardi, OneSite, Entrata).
• Competent use of internet, word processing, spreadsheet, and database management programs.
