Assistant Community Manager – The Del Rey

About the role

The Assistant Community Manager supports the Community Manager in overseeing the financial and operational aspects of The Del Rey community. This position handles accounting, bookkeeping, rent collection, invoicing, and reporting using property‑management software.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and post rent, fees, and other resident payments; prepare daily bank deposits and reconcile bank accounts.
• Process invoices and payables, code charges to the appropriate Chart of Accounts, and obtain Community Manager approval.
• Operate Yardi/OneSite property‑management software, ensuring accurate data entry, system updates, and backups.
• Review resident files for unpaid or late fees, communicate with residents, and enforce lease terms to maximize revenue.
• Manage vendor and contractor invoices, reconcile work performed, and coordinate communication between vendors, accounting, and owners.
• Follow established eviction procedures, issue proper notices, represent the community in court hearings, and handle resident move‑out processes, including deposit and lease cancellation fees.

Required profile

• Experience in property‑management accounting or a related financial role.
• Familiarity with lease enforcement, collections, and eviction processes.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, vendors, and internal teams.
